You’re not broken-Just overloaded.

  • Your thoughts race relentlessly and leave you too tired to follow through on a plan. You know (or at least feel like) you have great potential, but struggle to make your goals come to life. You can think through most sides of any choice and get caught in decision paralysis regularly. You can weight the pros and cons of most situations so well that you feel like there is no perfect or good enough option. You are constantly doubting yourself. You find yourself saying “yes” to plans that you don’t want to commit to. You’re used to going with the flow so often that you aren’t sure where you are anymore. It’s exhausting. The good news: your anxiety is treatable!

  • Maybe the idea of waking up and the endless catalog of all of your to-dos is enough to overwhelm you. Maybe that dread steals your sleep and makes you want to sleep during the day when you need to be moving. You can have fun when you are with your friends, but on the drive home alone a familiar, yet unnamed, feeling begins to creep in without any specific trigger. You’re happy right? Life is going fairly well. Sure there are stressors, but you speculate that you “should” be happy. Yet, there is a nagging need wanting attention but hiding from the spotlight. Depression is often an experience of feeling low, even when there isn’t one specific thing to blame. It can occur following loss and trauma, but there is not always a clear correlation. The load can get lighter. You can feel motivated to do things again. We can help.

  • Maybe the frequent calls from the school make you dread looking at your phone during the day. You know that they are a good kid, but they don’t seem to be learning from their mistakes or consequences. You worry that they will fall behind in school or fall in with a rough crowd of friends. Do you worry that they aren’t developing the resilience needed to be successful as an adult? Do changes in plans or the need to be flexible max out your child’s ability to cope. You aren’t sure how to help them through the tantrums, meltdowns, overwhelm leading to tears.

Maybe you are beginning to question if your child’s “what if” questions are more about persistent worry than genuine curiosity. They have always been a quiet kid, but you worry that they aren’t confident enough to speak out in a group.

You can right the course and work towards wellness. We see it everyday.

Our brains are set up to keep us alive, not to keep us happy.

Fortunately, when we learn how our brain works and the reason why we developed those pesky patterns and frustrating habits, we can then learn how to heal. I want to help you identify where you have control and how you can steer a course closer to wellness.

Together we will explore your current struggles. Our highly trained therapists can help you to see how these dynamics have developed overtime, and most importantly we will explore what function they serve, what need they are trying to nurture. In our sessions, you will have the space to freely explore all the options that life has to offer free from judgment, we will empower you to make changes that you believe are in your best interest. We can get you unstuck and grow momentum in whatever direction sounds right to you.

Not sure of your next steps? We will help guide your thinking through the process and get you on your feet.

There are two types of people who struggle with mental health. Those who get the support needed to get better, and those who lose time to the struggle and white-knuckle through life. You can be in the first group, give a call and get closer to the life that you deserve.
