Therapy anxiety

I love being able to help people feel safely seen and understood, while also helping them improve parts of themselves that are not optimal to their wellness.

Welcome! I am glad that you are here.

Really! At Cope & Calm, we are trying to create a space where everyone feels heard and accepted. Let me know if we can do anything to make you feel more safe and welcome.

I am a psychotherapist who blends parts of Cognitive-Behavioral/Dialectical Behavioral (CBT/DBT), Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) theories.

What all of that means is that I am a non-judgmental listener. I can objectively and compassionately explore your patterns, help you gain awareness of thoughts and actions, and support you while you make changes that work for you. Everyone has unique gifts, and I will assist you in identifying and amplifying your strengths in order to maintain wellness.

I like to ensure that my clients leave sessions with tangible take aways, so that they can continue our work outside of our meeting. This way, when you leave each session you have something to practice right away to manage whatever stressors life has thrown your way.

I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults, I really love assisting teens and young adults transitioning into their lives with all of the the responsibilities, stressors and adventures associated with their growing independence.

I am finding that I am most successful with teens and adults struggling with high functioning anxiety.

Does this sound like you: A capable and intelligent person, who always seems to have it together and yet always feels on the verge of chaos? A person who cannot sit still without feeling guilt? A person who says yes, because they don't want to impose on others?

If so, I got you!

Whether a client shows signs of GAD or perfectionism, I love the challenges that come with supporting individuals with control related anxiety. I am trained in Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) and treat OCD. I have also helped many people recover from depression and process trauma. I am experienced and trained in treating disordered eating, and I am a HAES aligned clinician.

My job is my hobby, and I truly love what I do. Thank you for the honor of your consideration.

Therapy sessions are meant to focus on you, but I think it helps to know that your therapist is a person too.
